Biography

Tracing Silence and Form

Akira Mavrić (b. 1987, Serbia) is a visual artist and sculptor whose work is grounded in the exploration of geometry, spatial rhythm, and material resonance. She works primarily in marble and mixed media, creating sculptural and drawn compositions that reflect themes of silence, inner structure, and minimalist tension.

Akira holds a Master’s degree in Sculpture from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade. Her artistic practice bridges sculpture, drawing, and installation — often merging traditional techniques with contemporary sensibilities. Her drawings and paintings, rendered in dry pastel, oil pastel, and encaustic, share a conceptual language with her sculptural work, focusing on line, surface, and spatial perception.

She has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Serbia and abroad, and her works are part of both private and public collections. Akira is a member of the Association of Fine Artists of Serbia (ULUS).

She currently lives and works in Belgrade.
